I painted this piece on a winter morning. I adore these winter tones... the sea turns almost turquoise, creating a beautiful contrast with the steel-grey sky.
This is one of my favorite places in Saint-Quay — a scene I could gaze at for hours. I’ve painted it many times, yet each time it feels different. The light, the colors — they shift from minute to minute.
The painting was created early in the morning on the road leading to the port. In the foreground, you can see the white railings characteristic of Saint-Quay.
Port-Blanc is a small coastal port in Brittany, and a hamlet and fishing district within the commune of Penvénan in the Côtes-d'Armor department, in the historic region of Trégor.
Beauport Abbey... 13th century. A stunningly beautiful place. This painting was created in winter, in December. It carries a nostalgic atmosphere, filled with shades of grey and soft pastel pink.
So many times, while driving my car, I look at the landscapes... and the cows. They are beautiful animals. And they look great in the landscape, in nature.
I decided to paint this place many times. At any time of the day. I painted this picture in the morning. It was a bit cloudy but the needles looked beautiful in this light.
I decided to paint this place many times. At any time of the day. This time, I was painting at noon. The sun has broken out. The warm light softened a little sharp and expressive forms of needles, rocks.
Another painting painted on Balle ile ... Port Coton. This time the composition is a bit different. I wanted to capture the beauty of the setting sun ... and here it is ... the sunset was amazing.
Located on the wild coast of Belle-Ile-en-mer and overlooking the ocean, the 3-star hotel Le Grand Large blends into a peaceful landscape, surrounded by colored changing moors.
I love this place. The fortress house shimmers with the warm colors of the afternoon light...today...although I know it is usually exposed to extremely high winds.
