Port-Blanc is a small coastal port in Brittany, and a hamlet and fishing district within the commune of Penvénan in the Côtes-d'Armor department, in the historic region of Trégor. Having lost its traditional character, it has become Penvénan's seaside resort. I painted this picture in the late afternoon. The sea was very high. Unfortunately, I couldn't wait for the tide to go out to reveal the beach and a completely different, surely beautiful landscape. I really love the warm afternoon sunlight... in fact, it's my favorite time of day.
