Chapelle Sainte-Anne de Portrieux. The Chapel of Saint Anne is located in the port of Saint-Quay-Portrieux. It was built in the 18th century. I painted this work in early spring. The square and the chapel are bathed in warm spring sunlight. There are not yet any leaves on the trees. The painting’s color palette consists of warm beiges and browns, which contrast with the strong light and the whiteness of the architecture. Walking figures can be seen in the painting—small, colorful touches that bring the scene to life.
